About
The Dark Corner is an online magazine dedicated to showcasing the best in new horror fiction. From atmospheric to visceral, from psychological to body horror – we want it all.
If you have a story that has been gnawing at your insides for too long, this might just be the place to purge it from your system and unleash it on some ravenous readers. We welcome brand new writers from all walks of life, as well as seasoned professionals.
The Dark Corner is edited by Gloria McNeely, a passionate reader and writer of horror fiction. With a degree in English Literature from UCD and a voracious appetite for great stories, she aims to uplift other writers while working on her own projects. You can find her on most social media sites @gloriamcneelywriter if you would like to ask her any questions.
All donations received from readers will be split equally between the contributors of each volume.

Who can submit?
Anyone can submit. Whether you’ve never written a story before or have several publications under your belt – The Dark Corner is only interested in good stories and all submissions are based on the work, not the author.
What kind of stories?
Whatever story makes your skin crawl, your blood freeze, and your soul shiver. There are a million ways to horrify a reader, and we want to explore as many of them as we can.
Are there any limitations?
The Dark Corner is not interested in publishing graphic and gratuitous depictions of violence against women and children, or SA.
